Letterbook of Boston, Mass. merchant Thomas Tunno Forbes, 1825, kept while he was working in Manila, Philippines for J. and T. H. Perkins and Company. The letterbook contains retained copies of outgoing correspondence pertaining to the company's China trade business to Perkins and Company in Canton, China, and Thomas Handasyd Perkins, John Perkins Cushing, and Captain Robert Bennett Forbes, among others. Also includes a personal letter written by Thomas to his sister Emma Perkins Forbes, Jan. 1828, and a manuscript index to the letterbook.
